Although there were a lot of children, this museum is great for all ages. Low key and casual. Very interesting and different types of concepts including old artifacts, rocks and minerals, art, and colors. Very interactive and easy to learn.

Came here on a cold windy day when we should have been skiing but glad we came here instead. This is a really well laid out museum with a real mix of exhibits from a section on innovation through to a great section on travel showing items collected from local people's travels and ending with a small but really good... This small museum included art, artifacts, loads of information, and lots of things to do. Our only problem was that two rooms were closed and that was not announced on the website. It still took us 90 minutes to tour everything else. If we lived in the area, we would have taken advantage of the many activities for children.

Lots of visuals along with plenty of hands on activities to keep everybody engaged. The staff are professional and very kid friendly making the museum a fun and educational experience.

We have been there many times. We have seen lots of exhibits. They do a great reading for kids, fun to see the reptiles, and all the exhibits. Good for all ages.

It was a rainy day, so we figured why not? And while there were a few interesting exhibits...who doesn't like mummies?.... I can't say we're in any hurry to go back. The downstairs aquarium could only thrill children, as it's small with rather uninteresting fish. The displays upstairs seem rather haphazard. Napoleon's death mask next to a tortoise skeleton? While... More

We went for the festival of trees; it doesn't compare to ones I have seen in the past (wayyy in the past, when such festivals began, eg at the Albany Institute of History & Art) but had it all over any local ones here in Connecticut I have seen the past few years. We took a few peeks at other... More

Nothing spectacular but a hodge podge of art, natural history, local history and a couple of mummies along with an aquarium of fish from all over. It is an interesting way to pass the time on a rainy day.
