This was part of our home made walking tour on a sunny Sunday in Plymouth. We really loved it. So full of history and lots of fascinating gravestones and memorials to see. Fabulous view over the town and the harbour. Well worth a visit.

Very old graves and gravestones - it is a part of Plymouth and a must see - we had a guide but this is not required

This was fantastic! So full of history and the view is fantastic! It sits high upon a hill overlooking the oldest street in Plymouth. A must-see if you are in the area.

Well organized and labeled cemetery with a lot of historic forefathers and families. We had received a bit of information at the visitor center relating to this site and decided to explore. It overlooks the harbor and is adjacent to a beautiful church.

The ability to read some stones that read deceased dates in the mid 1600's is great. Unfortunately, when you google Burial Hill, you are sent to the Town Hall on Lincoln St.. it's actually on Court Street right by the first Church in Plymouth. We found the cemetery engrossing. It is well worth the search!

It was a bit tricky to find a place to park but the graveyard is easily accessible as a pedestrian. Once you climb some steep steps there are a lot of nice old graves to see and views of the harbor. I wish there had been some kind of map up there for where the famous graves are though.

It is well worth the sometimes steep climb to the top, not only for the great views but also to read the interesting inscriptions on the stones. We spent some time there looking at the monuments, it is very atmospheric up there as the light begins to fade.
