What can you say? This is the major street to the very small downtown area of Provincetown. It is full of commercial enterprises like restaurants, shops and other enticements. Enjoyable if you're in the mood for lots of people and shopping.

You have to walk Commercial Street - if you can walk from East End to West End, you'll get a taste of the different sections of Provincetown and start to understand why we locals appreciate it so much. Provincetown has many layers, many things to...More

Such a fun stroll. If you were to visit most of the shops and galleries and stop for lunch and afternoon "tea" you can easily spend 2 days exploring Commercial St and side streets.

People who live in the area know that Commercial Street is not Provincetown but for visitors, it is. A bit of New Orleans, a bit of Key West, and a whole lot of fun. In one door is a Cuban Artist Gallery. Beautiful. In another...More

I've been going here for several years, it's always an adventure. There are several shops and restaurants that, during the summer, always provide an entertaining time. Things quiet down considerably in the winter.

Sure lots of the stores are touristy. The restaurants are great and not so much... but its just too much fun to window shop and to enjoy the folks in Provincetown along with an occasional street performer.

A mix of restaurants and mainly shops for the many tourists walking the street. Think they should block traffic after 11am. The restaurants cover everything from pizza by the slice to high end.

Thank you all for the response. I found the Pier parking lot and Grace Hall parking lot as well. As some of you mentioned to get there early, I am trying to be there by 10am. I hope I will get parking at the pier.
