Bathrooms were closed for renovations and porta-potties were overflowing with trash (literally!) Weather also was windy and cold which didn't help the experience. Great views, but sand was fairly unpleasant. Have had much better east coast beach experiences on the Jersey Shore and in North...More

"America's first public beach" Revere beach station, on the Blue line (heading towards Wonderland), is a hidden gem. It boasts 3 miles of mostly white sand, with a wide promenade following alongside the road for the whole stretch. There are regular shaded rest spots along...More

Love this place. Find a parking place. Depending on the time of the day or if the kids are hungry either go to Kellys roast beef for a sandwich or fried clam plate with some tartar sauce. Mmmmm good. Or if the bellys are almost...More

While we were at Revere Beach, they were hosting the International Sand Sculpting competition. The artistic works with sand were unbelievable! The beach is pretty and clean with plenty of space.

Very large beach that is very well taken care of. Definitely worth a stop if visiting Boston. Also make sure to stop into Kelly's Roast Beef and have a Lobster Roll. Its right across the street about midway up the beach.

This beach is right off of the Wonderland (or Revere Beach) Blue Line T train station. You get off the train and bam, there is sand! The beach is pretty crowded, even at 7pm on a Tuesday. I personally would not swim in the water,...More

The sculptures are really amazing. But the sand is so annoying. It always runs into the shoes. The peddlers are more expensive than the other place. One package of French fries cost me 3 dollars.

Huge sandy beach and America's oldest public one. Lots of large clam shells to collect. Amazing views across the bay towards a lighthouse. We were lucky to see the awesome sand sculptures left behind after the world sand sculpting contest.

No, it doesn't have a boardwalk. I don't know about the nearby beaches but I don't believe they have boardwalks either. Sorry.
