Never seen anything like it

Never seen a house furnished and even sometimes composed of varnished/shellacked paper, from the chairs to the mantle to the walls. Utterly odd and fascinating.

I think I was expecting more so don't be disappointed with this one. It is a unique house made of paper as are the components inside but it is a very small house that takes all of about 10 minutes to enjoy. There is a fee to see the house but it is on the honor system and the drop... More

One of the Seven Wonders of Cape Ann. The entire house, including furniture, is made of vintage, varnished newspapers. The house is off the road in a quiet neighborhood.

The directions to the place were sketchy so it took a while to find it. The history is interesting but not really worth the trip. It literally took only a few minutes to view it and there is no one present to ask questions. There is a mailbox to pay a fee on the honor system.

I've been coming to Rockport for over 30 years and only just recently went inside the Paper House in Pigeon Cove. I'd driven by it many times but when my brother was visiting from Florida that we decided to go and visit. What a joyous time! The Paper House is unlocked and self-tourable. There are notes as to where to... More

Stopped by this local Rockport attraction. It was on the edge of town but easy to find. One of the most unique structures that I have ever seen. I definitely recommended stopping by.

This is an interesting place but it's a very quick walk-through, no one to answer any questions. We had a hard time finding it. There is limited signage especially coming from the north. Honor system payment.

This is a fun little stop. We were only staying a mile away, and found this on the web before we left home. It is an honor system nominal fee. With the exception of the beam supports, fireplace bricks and the roof shingles, this home, and its furnishings are made entirely out of newspapers. The ingenuity and patience it took... More

Had to come see this since we were in the area...takes longer to get here then to walk through. But who can resist seeing a home made of paper that was built 90 years ago. The house itself isn't constructed of paper...however the walls have been coverd in paper (even the outside), there is paper ceiling, curtains, furniture- quite amazing... More

The paper house is very interesting to see what a man created all out of paper which includes curtains, a piano, a bed, a desk, a lamp, etc.
