A very well kept cemetery with a nice view and many old stones. Swans abound in the small lake around the burial ground. Quiet and quaint.

We loved walking through the cemetery and looking at all of the really old graves...there were some graves dating back to the 1700's and from the founding families of the area.

I happen to love old cemeteries. The tombstones are old, old, old and as always I look for a familiar name. You can find names in this cemetery that are part of the fabric of Sandwich.

This cemetery needs a little TLC. There are bird droppings everywhere because it is on the lake. I didn't expect much, but would have appreciated a bench because it was very hot and hilly.

It would be a shame to pass thru Sandwich and not take a moment on this picturesque, grassy knoll to contemplate the lives that came before. Amateur historians should recognize quite a few names. It really sets the mind back a few generations to imagine...More
