Parking can be restricted as you park by the little church (free) and walk through the golf course, approximately 8 minutes with steep steps at the bottom. Fantastic clean beach for walking with the dog. Totally recommend. No toilets or facilities tho.

We started a hike down to St Ives from this area and found ourselves mostly alone along the way. We came down from the church and the golf course, took a relaxing bath at the beach there before entering the trail along the path to...More

This beach was recommended to us by another family with a dog. It’s difficult to find beaches in the summer where we can take our dog along, but this was a super find. Loved by us all. Very clean and so much beautiful sand for...More

Golden sands, blue seas, walked alongside the estuary down to the sea, fabulous and much quieter than many beaches in the area, idea for the dog to run and swim

Wonderful clean sands that stretch out for miles it seems and even more so as the tide goes out. Loved by dog walkers and those who don’t want facilities and are prepared to walk

We walked from St Ives to Lelant and back, and walked along the beach each way. After leaving Carbis Bay the tide was out so we walked around the headland and all along Porthkidney beach enjoying the views. We then followed the coast path to...More

It is quite a job to get to this beach which is why it is so quiet and clean. It really is quite beautiful on a summer day but be prepared for an alright hike to get to it. Either the inlet end which is...More

Porthkidney sands is a lovely large sandy bay that is off lead dog friendly all year round. Don't make the mistake like I did of walking around the coast path two miles and down some treacherous steps onto the far end of the beach! Park...More

In search of a sandy beach which allowed dogs, we came across this gorgeous beach. If you park on Church Road In Lelant, you walk down a path just past the Church - the path is through the golf course but well marked and not...More

I'm sorry I don't know. We stayed on a campsite outside of st Ives (about 10minutes). I've only been there once and I'm going again in May but staying in a house rental in st Ives instead. I would imagine there lots of... More

As far as I am aware there isn't any parking for Porth Kidney sands, it's a walk I'm afraid. We were staying at Carbis Bay so walked along the cliffs from our accommodation but there is public parking in Carbis Bay. I... More
