One of the best experiences in Ghana 🇬🇭 with our family 🥰. Eco tour Ghana 🇬🇭 made our stay very lovely and memorable and budget friendly 🥰🥳. Contact Mr Noisty on +233 558712206. Our Tour Guide was very knowledgeable and Experienced about the routes and the fun activities to engage in during our tour 🥰. The canopy walk was a bit scary for my family but the group loves it 😍 as we need to walk 259 stairs to the water fall which was a bit challenging 🥹🥰. But in all we recommend Mr noisty to book your tour before you set off🌍🇬🇭

It is about 80m tall.
Ote falls formed naturally on a canyon-rock.
In my case i saw cameleon on the way to waterfall. Its really pretty.
Ote waterfall is located the Eastern part of Amedzofe which is close to Ho city.
You can reach Amedzofe from Ho to take a local taxi by 40min.
After that it would approximarely takes the visitor about 30min walk getting there.

One of the many places for visitors to Amedzofe is the Ote Falls. You need only 45 minutes stroll from Mt. Gemi to get to the fall. Mind you, this journey to get to the fall is not for the faint hearted. The hike to get there is challenging inside a really tropical forest where you can have the opportunity of viewing numerous species of birds, butterflies and exotic flowers. You may like to spend few days of exercise and hiking which gives you the opportunity through Avatime and it surrounding towns via scenic bush paths. There are well trained guides to assist in making your visit a memorable one.

It's quite a long way from the town to the falls and the last section is clambering down a very steep path (with ropes to hang onto)...but the walk through forest is gorgeous. Falls are fairly impressive and you can swim in the pool at the bottom.

I visited Ote Falls and the Canopy Walk today, 16th July, 2024. It was a very memorable event. The Fall is a spectacle to behold. Being on the canopy walk while viewing the waterfall from such a height leaves nothing to wonder about except for the Marvelous nature of God.
The trees planted at around the ticketing office are great and the forest on which the canopy walk is also very wonderful.
Having said the above, I have the following to talk about:
1. The Tourism office was off the main road to the canopy walk and waterfalls. No serious tourist will want to go there first.
2. There were no souvenirs on site for sale and purchase. At least a brochure giving more information about the tourist site.
3. The tour guide who took us around was not in the appropriate PPE. Lack of safety consciousness. Going on such a tour wearing Slippers is not advisable.
4. Throughout the tour, from the very steep steps, through the canopy walk to the waterfalls and way back, there was no single comment in the form of history surrounding the whole adventure. When it came into being, which people built it, number of visits, high and low seasons, what to be aware of, nothing of sort. It was as if there was nothing to tell. ‘Just view and leave’.
6. The tourist site needs a rework. Starting from the rest stops. The chairs purported for resting when one is tired are won out. The rails that give support through the steep slopes are damaged, some have removed. This makes it very dangerous while climbing or descending the stairs.
Recommendations
1. It is either we are doing the tourism or we are not. Once we want to do it, then we need to dedicate our time and resources as a region (Volta Region) or Country (Ghana) and do it very well.
2. The amount being charged is too small. 10ghs cannot maintain the site. The fees can be increased as an internally generated funds to maintain the place. Government can also refurbish the place since the economic gains realized is more for the country as a whole.
3. Should the government not have funds for that, such a great venture could be given to selfless Ghanaian Entrepreneurs better at ventures of this sort to maintain and well manage the site. The amount of work needed on this site can result in so much job avenues for the indigenous people.
