Small place with a big mission and interesting exhibits. Lots of fish to view and loved going upstairs to get the inside view. Docent at the front desk was such a nice gentleman. This has been a bucket list item for many years. Loved my visit.

This little museum is disguised in a building that could be an office building or a government building. Inside are authentic displays and little aquarium windows that reveal sea life that are just on the other side of the glass looking right back at you. Four high school friends, we were having a reunion together. This was our 40th! We... More

The touch tanks are by far the best part of this aquarium. The rehabilitating seals are super cute and interesting to watch. Walk through and check out the sealed tanks with fish and crustaceans from the area and then head over to the touch tanks. I have been coming here since I was little and still find it wonderful.

I went to the aquarium during a day trip to the Falmouth area. I have been to many aquariums all over the country and I have to say I really enjoyed my visit to this one. The various displays were well-explained. There were some really unattractive fish which are normally not exhibited, a tank of Atlantic Salmon, and several blue... More

Good way to spend an hour or so. Make sure you catch one of the seal feeding/training sessions (usually at the aquarium open and closing times).

We went in the early fall with our family of 8. Everyone enjoyed seeing the fish from the 6 year old to the 18 year old. It was quiet and pleasant and worth the stop.

To say that the aquarium is small misses the point. The purpose of the exhibits is primarily education - tracing the history of the Woods Hole scientific community while also highlighting the local marine habitat. Taking all the time you need, you can see the whole thing in less than an hour. For an added bonus, be sure to be... More

This small gem is placed in a very special place. the first aquarium in the US and it is free. Make sure to go up stairs and see the top of the tanks. Take time to read the walls-very clear information about fish, the fishing industry and people who risked their lives. Make sure to see seal feedings.
