I literally grew up at this library...I had to visit historical sites and this was one of them...the tour was great and I never really knew how significant my local library was. There are still original fixtures of the library and I still remember when the second floor was the children's section and I would run up the stairs to... More

If you like history and architecture visit this library. It is a beautiful building inside and out. They did have to take away some of its beauty by adding on to accommodate the elevator for handicap accessibility, but its still worth visiting

Great library on the West side of Bay City. Have spent many hours there and witnessed the changes to a more modern computer based system from the old card catalogue system. The ambience and peace in the reading rooms have always remained the same. The architecture and the materials used in building this structure are something to be admired in... More

I am from out of state visiting. The ladies I talked to all of them were very nice. I would come back here again if I ever come back to town.

One of our historical buildings from the lumbering era of Bay County History. Be sure to check the hours before you come. The fountain out front is very pretty in the warmer months.

I have been frequenting this library lately and have found it to be so well organized. The staff is very helpful efficient and always offering new ideas for me. They have opened up the third floor and now they have, (be still my heart) an elevator!!! Ground floor is the children's floor, second floor is for quiet reading, non-fiction. Third... More

The library is a real landmark in Bay City and is best know for it's Lola and the Swan fountain and the Lady of Learning Statue. It has been in operation since 1884 and has some real architecture gems. I was there for a conference and had the chance to explore the library with a handy guide to history of... More

This is a beautiful and historic library, with three floors of media. They have a large selection of large-print books that make it easier for our older eyes to read. The librarians are all extremely helpful and very friendly. Very nice fountain in front.
