A little disappointed
Aug 2019
We visited the toy museum but it was more of a store (things for sale) than an actual museum although it did have a few old toys hanging above the toy racks to look at very little info on any of it if any. Found it disappointing.

Local Iconic place

Nickle toys for kids and excellent art gallery located in the building behind the museum. I have visited it every time I travel to Beaver Island. Many child hood memories stem from this place.

Fun place to see old toys and get a little something for the kids
Aug 2019
There are all kids of old metal toys hanging from the ceiling. Fun place to stop while on a walk or bike ride. Great place to take the kids for a little something or rainy day outing for a few minutes. Make sure you walk out the back to the gallery I all most missed it. There is an old wood plank board play hours for the little ones. Note may be too small for a child 5 years old.
Favorite place for the kids, easily on the pocket book too. Can find toys for 5cents

I've never been to a place like Beaver Island Toy Museum
Aug 2019
You can drive there of walk from the village. The old toys take you back to simpler times. You can browse or buy toys. My wife and teenage daughter spent about an hour in there. It's very small and cramped, so I enjoyed the garden out back. Must see on the island.

A place like no other.

Wander the isles, rows, bins etc while kids joyfully pick out their old time .10¢ toys, whistles & candy. Vintage toys adorn the ceilings & walls. Enjoy one & all!

Oh my gosh this place is a riot. You will find anything and everything in this must see stop in Beaver Island. The ladies running this place are wonderful and fun and know how to make this place a show stopper. Especially loved the artwork in the backyard gallery, but my favorite stuff was the funny Donald Trump stuff. This place rocks. Don't miss it.

Kids loved it

Best little toy store with some old toys on display. Lots of little inexpensive toys for the kids to look at and pick out.

Blast from the past and modern fun too. Hands down one of my favorite stops on the Island for several reasons. First, who doesn't love being a kid again, and this store is a living toy museum where you can remind yourself not to be so serious all the time. Then there's the community vibe, locals are there simply visiting each other, lovely. Finally, there's a small art gallery out back with photos, pottery, drawings and paintings, a really unique experience. An Island must do.

Well...

Well…it’s not actually a “museum” more than it is a shop with little knick-knacks and such. Still, it was fun to visit. Many things were only 25 cents and under, so you could buy quite a lot for little money. There was a picture gallery/shop in the back and a little “garden” where we saw a friendly chipmunk. The lady who owned the shop said that he and two other chipmunks constantly hang around and wait for her to return. I wouldn’t call this place a “must see” (in my opinion, not much on Beaver Island is), but if you have the time, it’s an entertaining way to kill a half hour.

Good place to take the children

Really fun place to visit, they have some amazing old toys on display and big selection of small items for children that you thought were no longer available.
