This zoo is bare bones--no attempt is made to provide appropriate habitats for the animals. The lions and tigers are in enclosures of good old Michigan land. That being said--the enclosures are big enough to provide opportunities for walking and stretching and the animals look well fed. There were plenty of workers about cleaning and feeding and answering questions. I... More

This place was unexpectedly wonderful. We reviewed Trip Advisor reviews and were not sure what to expect. The staff was friendly, and the up close animal viewing and interaction was something you don't get in larger zoo facilities. We walked through at a nice, leisurely pace spending about 2 hours to see everything. Would highly recommend this for a family... More

We had some time to kill and decided to try out this small zoo. I am glad we did. It was not that expensive for a large family like mine. The staff is very friendly and all my kids from our 18 yr old down to our 9 month old enjoyed themselves. They have a good variety of animals and... More

it very reasonably priced I enjoyed walking through and seeing the animals and feeding the ones we could, I've done this twice now I like that they keep adding more exhibits to see.

Wilderness Trail Zoo was a nice experience for my small family. The enclosures were kept very clean and and animals were all very active. The petting zoo was a lot of fun for the young ones. We spent a nice three hours exploring and ended with a much needed picnic lunch in the covered picnic area. The gift shop had... More

We used a Groupon, so it was a good value. Some enclosures seemed a bit small but animals were active and viewing was better then some bigger zoos. We went at feeding time and it was very interesting seeing the wolves, leopard, and lions happily eating. Good for an hour or two visit.

For $20 for both of it it was a good experience. We had read some bad reviews but we didn't see any of the things that were said. The animals were more active than I'd seen at Big zoos. The trails were about a mile long and easy to follow. There was food stations to buy food to feed some... More

The family went on a fairly busy day but found a few empty parking spots. We used Groupon and the 4 of us got in for a very fair price with no hassles. There were far more animals than expected including some surprises like male lions, a few tigers, leopards including a fat black panther, lots of birds, lots of... More

This was our first time there & my Granddaughters loved it! Nice variety of animals...perfect for little ones to walk the whole zoo even though they had a wonderful wagon we rented. We went early in the morning when they opened...then ended with the girls playing on the playground there & then to the gift shop. It was not crowded... More
