A fine example of how travel was in the late 1800's. It was interesting how a family could offer many amenities for those traveling to Detroit, Chicago and else where. The volunteers are top notch and made our visit.

We attended a high school graduation party held at the Tavern. It is a nice space with a rustic feel. Unfinished woods give it a sense of space in the 1800's. The tavern accommodated the gather nicely. Next time, we'll spend more time and explore.

not too far of a walk, mind you, but very cool setting and exquisite example of olden days. Buildings are a one of a kind throwback to a past era.

Visited Labor Day weekend on Sunday. There was a fairly good farmers market in the parking lot too. We enjoyed the grounds. The buildings were well kept and the staff was well versed in the local history. It was an enjoyable 2 hours.
