Went here to kill some time before the hockey game in Detroit. You don't have to love fords to go to this museum. Had not only cars , but trains, airplanes, fashion, and houses and how time and technology helped us and our everyday objects evolve. Very cool and quiet place. Took about two hours to go through most of... More

Tons of exhibits in the museum. Lots of hands on learning, Lots of History, Ford has combined this whole experience with Greenfield Village tours and the Rouge Assembly Plant Tour. You can spend a whole day here and not see it all. Well worth the visit no matter what your interests. As a pilot I spent a lot of time... More

I have to admit I wasn't overly excited when I heard we were going to the Henry Ford Museum but what a great surprise!!!! Loved it and wish we had been able to stay about another 3 hours or more! Plan on a full day of fun things for everyone. There were all age groups enjoying the different displays, restaurants... More

Because of the different types of displays get place to learn about the progression of industrial history. The updated welcome center is a nice addition.

Acres of just about everything American on the planet that was ever driven, rode, sat on or in some cases lived in. You could spend days on end here. LOTS of spots to sit down while exploring but be prepared to surrounded by kids on school trips. Great gift shop but it is ridiculously expensive to shop in. ($100 for... More

I was beyond surprised at the complexity of this museum. It had so many interesting pieces and was displayed so nicely. The amount of American history in this place was beyond my comprehension. Our daughter was 6 when we took her here and she could have stayed for days. She loved the presidential cars (including the one President Kennedy was... More

I am a car person, so I went for the cars. There is a good selection of cars and wandering amongst them was fascinating and I could have spent much more time doing so than the people with me were probably prepared to wait. I wasn't expecting the other exhibits, ranging from planes, to historical artifacts, to wood burning stoves.... More
