I am not sure what I had in mind for this tour going in, but those expectations must have been pretty low as this was a solid value for the money. Not only did I get to learn a lot about the plant, but the history as well. I think one of the coolest parts was the catwalk where you... More

This tour is worthwhile at any time, but I would have preferred to see the plant operating than sitting idle. The guides were helpful.

I was on vacation in Detroit visiting a friend. we are both females so it was a little strange when my friend drove us here. I fly 3000 miles and she brings me to a car plant... well, 2 hours later and I did not want to leave. we had to make ourselves move on as we made our way... More

This tour began on a 10 or so minute bus ride to the factory. Once there, we listened to a movie about the F-150 for maybe 10-15 minutes before flying solo to look at a few old school models through the years, as well as walking the second floor while the first floor assembled F-150s. All aspects kept our interest... More

Thoroughly enjoyed this tour. I wish we could have seen the sheet metal stamping, painting and merging of the body to the frame...but still enjoyed this tour and would recommend it if you are in the Detroit Area.

Amazing view of the genius of Henry Ford and the success of the Ford Motor Company. 7200 F150 Trucks produced every week. A truck every 60 seconds! The two introductory movies provide a great lesson in American History and innovation. The docents fill in the extra details along the elevated walkway over the floor of the assembly line. 5 Stars

Two short movie presentations: 1) Brief history of the Ford Motor Company and 2) Current Operation with special effects - really cool! Self-guided tour of the assembly area allows you to move at your own pace. Ford representatives are available along the way to share insight and answer any questions you may have. The sheer magnitude of the complex as... More

Pretty nice tour. Aside from being led into 2 separate room for audio and visual information about the Ford Factory it's pretty much just a self guided walk above part of the factory line. We went as a large group with both young and older. Some family members were not able to walk the whole tour.
