Sorry to see it go!

It was fun but since this is the last year before they are tearing it down we wanted to go and see it again.

We loved our experience at the Joe! The seats were comfortable, there were ample drink selections, and we watched a fantastic hockey game! Though we were there to cheer on the visiting team, I will truly miss the Joe and all of its no frills character. An absolutely wonderful place to experience NHL hockey!

Cramped seats, crowded concourses, insufficient amount of food vendors and rest rooms. It's a classic old arena, but it is past its prime.

It was my first time attending a Red Wing and from what I understand there will not be many of them left played here so I'm happy I got to do it before they close the doors. Seeting was a little tight, could hardly walk for 2 days afterward due to my knees hurting from being up against the seat... More

The people at Joe Louis Arena and very friendly and helpful. Plus they care about fan security. The atmosphere is vibrant and loud as it should be at any sporting event. This place really shows that the staff and locals care about our hometown team. Easy access is provided to the venue via multiple parking areas for a minimal charge.... More

You need to separate the team that plays in this building from the building/arena experience itself. Parking is below average and somewhat feels unsafe, entering the arena and dealing with the rude staff is another experience I can skip. Place smells of sour beer spill, floors are sticky and don't even attempt to use the restrooms. I see how they... More

We visited the Joe twice in 24 hours with our Bantam hockey team. Our first visit was to see the Wings and the Panthers. Despite the fact our seats were at the top of the upper bowl we enjoyed the game immensely. For an older rink there really wasn't a bad seat in the house. The rich history of a... More

Went for a Red Wings game and had so much fun! Staff was friendly and kept people in check when out of hand. Ensured people were not blocking view of the game. Sad to say goodbye to the Joe but blessed I got to experience it at least once!
