I used to live in Detroit and was so disheartened that it basically fell into ruins. Now, great effort has paid off. The town is really starting to look great, is safer again and offers a lot of exciting activities!

We had a conference at the COBO. During breaks my colleagues and I would take walks up and down the riverfront to the RenCen to keep moving since we were sitting most the day. The path is impeccably clean, the views are quite pleasant, and at not point day or evening did we feel unsafe. We enjoyed the stroll.

The riverfront is always relaxing at any time of year. It has become quite safe with all the attention and added police presence

This place took me and my family by surprise! The kids loved the fountains, you can see across into Canada and it's clean all along the walkway! Cool tents with different activities depending on time year and honestly felt safe and enjoyed every second of it and kids want to go back all the time!

My husband and I love coming downtown and having dinner and hanging out around the River Front. There's a ton of things to do in the area, like the Ren Cen, Campus Martius, Hart Plaza, all kinds of fun places to check out. The river front itself has a long walkway along the water where people often jog, or walk... More

The weather has been warm so I got on the bike. A beautiful ride along the Detroit waterfront with Canada as the backdrop. Just can't wait until Spring!

Stopped by in a beautiful Saturday afternoon after having lunch in slows and I had a great surprise with everything I sow there. Beautiful spot to see the sunset and a great view of the city. Kids loved to hang out close to the lake and 50 degrees in the middle of the winter sure helped a lot. Will definitely... More

Well worth the visit. Interesting sites along the way and the areas that we walked were clean. Make sure to visit the GM Renaissance Center. The complex is beautiful.

This scenic view of the Detroit River offers a historic look into Detroit's past of the Underground Railroad. With a glorious view of the Canadian border, you'll spend hours gazing at the wonderment of one of Detroit's proudest natural gems.

I really love visiting the Detroit riverfront area. It's a great place for a walk, a picnic, checking out some historical markers, taking in the views of the river, the bridge, and the overall area. It's is very well kept and clean. We like to visit often during spring/summer/fall.
