As you could guess by the address on Coast Guard Street this was a Coast Guard building at one time. The building with its beautiful views of surrounding nature has been transformed to house rotating shows, mostly by Michigan artists. I don't know if they have a permanent collection. A wonderful, little area for local artists to come and display their work! Always a new show, so keep your eye on this!

What a great place to stay . We booked this place without knowing the area at all. Stayed 2 nights, Staff was very pleasant and helpful. The Elizabeth Lane Oliver Art Center is an amazing place to visit. They have wonderful exhibits, classes, a gift shop and informed and friendly staff. The building in on the water and is a covered coast guard station.

This is a little hard to find if you've never been in Frankfort, Michigan (not Kentucky!), but well worth it. It's located on the same road as the Harbor Lights condominiums.
