This is a great spot to stop at when passing through Gaylord. It can be a quick visit, is cost free, and you are almost guaranteed to see some elk! They are beautiful creatures, there are often adorable little ones, and when we've been there...More

What a majestic creature to see. The Elks are protected by a fence, but you can still relish in their beauty. Make sure to take the kids to this place.

Always a fun trip for all ages to go see the Elk of Gaylord Michigan. We were excited to see 3 fawns that were playing in field. If you get to Gaylord Michigan you have to make a stop at the Elks to view them...More

We had some trouble finding. We just went to the parking lot and waited about 10-15 minutes. Nothing! We were just passing through and I thought it would quick and interesting. I guess not!

We stopped here with our grandson. This time we've seen more elk than before on previous visits. This is really neat to see these animals, and no you can not feed them!

We were excited to go but once we got here- disappointed. It's huge and you stand outside the fence but you can't walk all the way around.

This was a nice place to stop and have lunch and get out of the car. My son liked watching the Elk. There is one picnic table. No bathrooms available. If you never seen elk up close. This is your opportunity!

You will always see elk here although they may be far away. The elk viewing spots in the pigeon river forest are fun but you don't always see elk. This is a sure thing just a few blocks from downtown Gaylord.

Ten minutes with the grandchildren is enough. Don't open the windows of the car elk are very stinky.
