We biked this trail twice in our week long stay to the area. We went north on the trail the first time. The trail was fairly flat and paved. There was also a fair amount of shade. We rode as far as Glen Arbor. Our second ride was 10.4 miles to the south. This section was much more hilly, paved... More

We rode the heritage trail from the entrance at the climbing dune and rode into town. It's a little hilly for younger kids but just beautiful. I had a 9 year old and a 14 year old. We started on the trail after climbing the dune. My 14 year old and I would have loved to have ridden father, but... More

This trail is unique as it provides a pleasant excursion for hikers, joggers, and bikers, with all sorts of levels of difficulty. Whether you are looking for an easy jog, or a tough ride, this trail provides it all. The SBHT also provides outlets to nearly all of the best sights in the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, as it... More

Beautiful scenery along the dunes, well kept trails, easy bike ride as pretty flat, are expanding the trails so look forward to trying them when completed soon this year.

This is a very scenic drive or bike ride, plenty of stop off points for pictures or just taking it all in, you are able to see both Lake Michigan and glen lake from the top of the dunes! Take along some water if you are planning on climbing the dunes

It's a very good area to hike. However, it could have more signs in the area, on the dunes to make it easier.

A strenuous hike to the top, but worth it to see beautiful Lake Michigan and the bay. Snacks and a gift shop at the bottom. $15 per car. Good idea to bring a kite to fly at the top of the dunes. Wear sunscreen.

This was our first time on this trail and we really enjoyed it. we traveled from town to the lake and old village, then to the dune climb at Sleeping Bear. All along the way, there were points of interest and beautiful woods and dunes.

I rode this trail from the visitor center to Glen Arbor. It was just over 11 miles. Some very challenging elevation changes were encountered. The asphalt is in excellent shape.
