We were pleasantly surprised at the quality of this museum. We really enjoyed the log house & Victorian house replicas.

Small but great displays from the Indians forward. Learned a lot of history of both the people and development of the area along the lake. There is an elevator if needed.

The museum always has great exhibits, new and permanent. The permanent exhibits are my favorite, with the history of Michigan, and of west Michigan. Great for everyone, including kids. And it's in Grand Haven, a fun resort town on Lake Michigan/Grand River.

My kids would give it mixed reviews so I really think it just depends on the children’s interests. Older child (tween)enjoyed it and could have spent hours there . Younger (5 to 8) child just wanted to go to the park where he could run...More
