Closed during 4th of July week! If it was open open we would've went inside ... it was definitely a cute little pickle cabin to look at and say... "ohhh what a cute little pickle cabin"

this place is really neat, a different kind of stop that leaves you in wonderment of days gone by, browse this tiniest of museums for free but leave a tip or donation so that others may follow. You wont be disappointed.

A children's book author and illustrator who was very popular in the 20th century was gifted this pickle barrel house. Fortunately he was short. The "little house" movement was upstaged a century ago by this house! Worth popping in.

The Pickle Barrel as right on the main street through Gran Marais. It was not open when we visited, so a lost opportunity for us. There is a large historical sign at the site that explains the history of the building. It is rather small,...More
