The Gilmore is one of the finest auto museums anywhere. The vehicles and the descriptions, as well as how they are displayed make it interesting for anyone. Wonderful photography exhibits too, and the buildings are modeled after historic dealerships for different lines of autos of the past and present.

We have been going to Gilmores for years and it is so exciting to see the progression through the years. If you have never been there, you will be shocked and amazed that a museum of this caliber exist in the middle of corn fields! If you plan on visiting do not plan a quick stop...way to much to see... Our Girl Scout troop of teenagers enjoyed a short trip to the museum. None of us were car fanatics, but we all found something of interest. There are lots of neat history nuggets here!

This gem is located easy travel from most any place in Southern Michigan and Northern Indiana and NW Ohio. Cars of all vintages and prices are on display in the various barns that house them, and many exhibits are "themed for a period or type of car" Kids can even find much to enjoy. Plan to spend plenty of time.

I was amazed at the volume of vehicles they have on display from the earliest days of the automotive industry through the 1940s. The collection is a little thin after that era, but a remarkable collection of rare vehicles from the early days of the industry.

Definitely for car buffs, but interesting for any history lover. I wished the displays were more chronological, but the different groupings meant surprises. A small collection of motorcycles was interesting too. Sense of humor apparent also, as in the statue of Lincoln (Abraham) lounging outside the Lincoln dealership. Replica and restored buildings (gas station and dealerships and barns) were fun,... More

I went to this museum the first time when my son (now almost 24) was about 12. He knew everything there was to know and was just dying to see the collection. He was in hog heaven. Surprisingly, I was, too. I knew very little going in but was amazed by the different vehicles, how well they were preserved, and... More

We had been told to plan for a whole day to tour the Gilmore; I wish that we had that much time. The displays were incredible and very well organized. I really enjoyed this museum. The several specialty displays allowed us to focus our attention on those autos which really interested us. We had lunch in the diner - great... More

I am a member and visit about 6 times a year. You can go back many times and take in the beautiful classic cars.
