Nice zoo, not too big so it's manageable in a couple of hours (but there is the potential to spend longer) and with a good selection of animals, all looking well looked after. We got there just after opening time and it was not too crowded, making it a very pleasant experience as we have a toddler and we could... More

Our family enjoys this park. It is a smaller zoo but there are alot of animals to see and all the staff is wonderful and very knowledgeable.

Potter Park is great place to take a family. The improved exhibits make watching the animals easier. It's small enough to be covered in an afternoon and not exhaust you, but big enough to have a great collection of animals.

Grandparents, kids, and our grandkids all had a great time. Lots to see and watch lots of animals. I plan on going back often.

This zoo was a welcome surprise. We had traveled to Lansing to see the dinosaurs alive exhibition, but it was so packed that we sought entertainment elsewhere. After a quick search we were surprised that this zoo offered winter hours. The tickets were cheap, and there were many animals still available to view. The zoo was very clean and virtually... More

I went with my kids (12 & 10 yrs old) and my brother and his family (one boy 3 yrs old) to the Christmas light show evening at the zoo. It was fun, they have Christmas lights set up all around the zoo which are nice but nothing fantastic, although the kids enjoyed running through a sort of 'light tunnel'... More

Yes the zoo is small and a bit out dated. But the animals are clearly well cared for and its a great place just to get outside and have a walk. They've slowly been making improvements to the park. I would suggest bring food and eating on the river as opposed to getting food here. Its just a small concessions... More

Love this zoo. Tons of different animals to see, and the new moose exhibit is unique. I also really like the Wonderland of Lights around Christmastime, such a beautiful sight.

The otter display is my favorite, with a glass display and stadium seats to watch them play. Many animals with a reptile house, small aviary, and petting farm, big cat and monkey house! bathrooms could be cleaner.

if you love animals as I do the zoo is perfect. It is a smaller zoo within normal range price. You do have to pay to park which I thinks was $3 or $5. They have pony and camel rides. There is a small train that small children can ride for $3
