This monument to what happened on Sept. 11, 2001 in New York City is a true tribute. A twisted piece of "I" beam is a reminder as to the tragedy of that sad day. Worth stopping to see.

This memorial of the 9-11 attacks is in a great spot for reflecting on the day the world changed. It is adjacent to a memorial clock tower that reminds us of a tragic day in Lansing's history, the Kern Hotel Fire. Centrally located in downtown...More

This memorial is situated right next to the river opposite the Radisson hotel. It's a small park area with benches. Can get busy as we found out it is also a pokestop where over a hundred people were gathered at night.

This is is nice memorial in a park setting overlooking the river. There are a few other memorials located nearby. It's a nice tribute.

It is a piece from the twin towers. Twisted beyond belief from the heat and pressure. Very emotional. All places affected are mentioned.

The memorial was awesome. The sound of the water was soothing. The area was refreshing, nice grass growing, flowers were planted, lots of benches to sit on. I would definitely suggest you see the museum first to bring you back to the day. Seeing it...More

If you view this remnant of the World Trade Center from the streetside toward the river (see photo) it almost looks like a figure in a robe with a cane (or like Obi Wan "Ben" Kenobi from Star Wars, when Darth Vader struck him down)....More
