We stopped here for the night after a road trip down the shore from Petoskey. We stayed right on the river and watched the fish trying to jump back upstream. We enjoyed every minute and will return!

Perfect town and area for a weekend getaway. Enough to do in the area to keep you busy even if it's just a walk on the beach that you need.

We went on a day when the salmon were jumping at the dam. It was very cool to watch. When we arrived the interpretive booths were closed (mid Saturday afternoon at the end of September). The little shops were kind of interesting, but nothing amazing....More

Old fishing village with original structures still there. Converted to shops, restaurants and hotel. Great place to watch sunset from.
