Great kayaking for kids

The park and the walking trails are very nice. The price for rv camping is way too high for what you receive. You get electric and water hook up and that is not enough for the price you are charged. The showers are like slot machines. It takes quarters to get a shower. Now here is the catch. They don't... More

We recently held a wedding at the Buhl Estate on the Addison Oaks grounds. Everyone who helped us plan and execute the day was outstanding...helpful, knowledgable, patient, customer-service oriented. The grounds are beautiful, and the garden is an outstanding venue for a wedding. The food is outstanding, and the service is impeccable. Large and small banquet rooms are available; smaller... More

The kids had a great time at Addison Oaks. It is one of the Oakland County Parks located in Leonard, MI. They loved playing in the sand. There was an awesome inflatable water slide that was good for older children. My favorite thing was the kayaking. I shared a kayak with my 10 year old daughter and let her do... More

Just getting back into camping after several years and going home to Michigan to visit family and friends, this campground is right in between the two main areas we need to visit. Clean, friendly, quiet, beautiful county park/campground. We will be staying here a lot more now that we have the camper. Close by many big cities so theres lots... More

We are just returning home after our first time in a yurt. Because we are not 'die hard' campers, we decided to try it after being told it was similar to a cabin. We were pleasantly surprised - there was a good sized deck with wooden chairs, a fire pit and grill. The structure itself is round and has canvas... More

Great venue for family friendly Halloween Camping. Better for young children than Metamora, but Metamora is better for adults. Bathrooms are maintained well, showers are $0.25 and worth it.

I was lucky enough to be invited to a wedding reception at Addison Oaks. I have been in the food business for 40 years and level of service they provide was over the top. Wait staff was outstanding, food was presented first-class and was delicious. I was impressed with the coffee station and WOW is the only thing I can... More

We had our annual family reunion at Addison Oaks County Park last summer and it truly was one of the worst experiences ever. We had a good size group, maybe 20-30 of us, rented a few cabins in which we reserved way ahead of time, as well as tents and campers. When we got there to check in, they had... More

The campground is beautiful with great trails for biking and walking, lots of activities for young children, bathroom & showers were clean & roomy, camp sites were large and accommodating, but.....the big disappointment on such a hot weekend was the beach. The swimming area was quite small for such a large campground, the water was not anywhere near clear and... More

Visit Buhl Mansion and take the tour - You will learn some of Michigan's History (Oakland Township) and some of Detroit's History. Enjoy the Trails and watch for bird's as there are many to be found here.
