We offer a 40 minute tour of the Silver Lake Sand Dunes. We have a vehicle that holds about 20 people that goes on a seven mile trail in the dunes. We stop at Lake Michigan or Silver Lake for a few minutes for pictures and to enjoy the view.

Great experience with the with family. Honestly, this is definitely something different and not an activity you’d find everything. We liked the variety of scenery, the breezy ride and the great driver.

There is a long seatbelt that goes across all of the people in the seat and it is very loose. There is a long padded bar in front of you at waist level in case you feel the need to hold on. Only one time in the ride did I feel the need to use either but my husband and children kept their hands in the air like it was a rollercoaster. So in short, I think holding a baby would be fine but if it is really little you might consider one of those baby carrier harnesses so if you felt the need to hold on the baby would be strapped to you. Again, this would be for just one steep hill. The rest of it is pretty tame although fun!
