The residents of Pilgrims Rest have worked hard to revive this charming historical town. A must stop and see on the Panorama Route. Do make sure that when self driving to be very clear with the self appointed car wash/guards on what you require from...More

Village with a few “old” stores. Nothing open. Street people washing your car when you’re off sightseeing and then asking for money. Don’t bother going.

Not too large locality on a slope with historical buildings where goldminers would trade their findings. Well kept buildings surrounded by dozens of shops with the standard african products for sale

Pilgrims Rest has a history and worth exploring. The village is easily accessible and offers restaurants. Interesting place.

A quaint little mining town, with lots of history however the street sellers are too intrusive. Could be great tourist attraction otherwise.

As many others have said the road leading in to Pilgrims is really scenic and nice. When we got in to the village a "parking guard" told us it was prohibited with cars in the town and that we had to pay a fee. We...More

A quaint little mining town, with lots of history. A great tourist attraction where you are sure to find a little souvenir.

We were here on bus tour at 2003 on the way to Kruger, and then enjoyed. Now this town was big disappointment. Streetside 'businessmen' and 'parking guides' are really horrible and aggressive. They had washed our CLEAN car without asking, and wanted money. We ate...More
