This is the first temple we encountered on our way in Bhaktapur. The design is beautiful and the two statues up front give it a lot of charm.

Whereas this may not be most impressive square in town it certainly offers great charm and atmosphere and you can spend considerable time watching the lively foot traffic all around you. Close to the oldest house in Bakhtapur, the Peacock House.

We visited this temple because it is an ancient, undamaged temple that has beautiful energy if one wants to sit and meditate. The priest was very accommodating and the idol of Dattatreya is very special and powerful.
