This place holds a history of Birgunj before Birgunj the place was called gahawa in the name of jai gahawa mai temple. Today it is the biggest Hindu goddess temple in Birgunj and people of Birgunj before going to their daily jobs goes for prayer...More

Being myself a local, I can say it for sure, the temple is very famous among the religious people. The temple is renovated but it still remains sacred. It's always crowded, however the temple is maintained clean.
