this unfinished minaret is a part of the madrasah that turned into the orient star hotel, you cannot avoid it on your walk along the main street.

This minaret was left unfinished when its sponsor was killed in warfare. The part that was competed is quite stunning.

now turned into a part of hotel , original structure is well kept and open to visit for all , very much in the old town sightseeing central part

I think there is no need to explain this as this is a landmark of this old town. Standing tall inside Ichan Kala - it’s a thing that everyone should take a picture!

The blue seems to vibrate in the air - view it up close and then go climb the citadel wall near the west gate to get the view from there. I got lucky and "captured" a swallow circling the minaret just as I snapped.

The sheer size (14.5 meters diameter) and the odd proportions (only 20 or so meters high, it was meant be much taller, some say up to 110 meters) make it very special. I just couldn’t get enough of it.
