Its an ideal point to see the old city spread out .....to catch the sunset and sunrise. There is an additional entry fee though,but totally worth it.

It was terrible too hot the people were mean and it wasn't even that exciting. The historical information was poor, and I didn't get what I was promised. I definitely wouldn't go again and angry I wasted my money.

A great spot to visit to catch an higher views of some of Khiva’s most beautiful sights. Easy to get to (a couple of flights of stairs), cheap (about USD1.50). But don’t bother early in the morning - save your run for the sunset. This...More

The view is definitely worth a visit, best before sunset. Possible to walk a bit on the city wall. Otherwise somewhat bare - the numerous madrase of the city offer more beauty.

The city walls are actually more impressive from the front and the first thing you see as you approach the old town - don't forget to pop out of the gate and take a few photos of them. The Ark itself is entered from inside...More
