Singles track was very fun. It's about 5 miles in length, but does not loop back around; therefore, the entire round trip is about 10 miles. The track is well groomed and doable for anybody in at least modern physical condition. We are not avid bike enthusiasts more the occasional ones: we had a blast.

My wife and I wanted to do a nice ride while camping at Otter Lake. We were standing in the parking lot deciding which trail to take when a really nice lady and her dog suggested a single track run that wasn't on the map. What a fantastic ride! Super scenic. Decent work out. A nice long ride to boot.... More

This place is outstanding. It is well worth the $10.00! We skied there on both Friday and Saturday after a new snow. They were out grooming and the trails were perfect. If you are a good skier definitely try the Stairway to Heaven. It is a long climb, but fun to ski down. There are also very easy trails too!... More

These ski trails have wonderful terrain, consistent grooming, and are located where they receive lots of great lake-effect snow. They have a beautiful warming cabin.

We decided to try out trail B after learning how to cross country ski only a few hours earlier. This trail was perfect for beginners! Not only were there plenty of flat areas for easy going, but there were several hills to try that weren't too intense. Also, the forest is absolutely stunning in the winter with snow. Overall the... We hiked and rode these trails on our Mountain Bikes 4 days in a row and it was absolutely beautiful! Do not miss! Intermediate riding, and easy hiking make this very family friendly and also great for any level of hikers.

The long loop was described as a "family friendly" ride that was mostly easy two-track roads. And some of it was....but it also took us onto several miles of "sugar sand" ATV trails that were virtually unrideable. The 13 miles that I thought would take about an hour or so took much longer and elicited a lot of cuss words.... More

We love the Munising area and this year we wanted to catch the fall colors. I researched these trails, as much as I could read, before my husband and I came for a biking excursion. The Hiawatha National Forest website actually gave the best description of the trails….or so I thought. I guess you must be a hard-core mountain biker... More

I would really like to keep valley spur a secret, but for sake of all, I won't. It has incredibly beautiful trails for all levels of skiers. Both skating and classic trails. The fact that it has a warm place to go into before and after is helpful. On weekends, there is homemade soup and bread. Yummy....

The 26 miles of groomed trails are among the finest in the world. When the lodge is open, it is a great warming hut and the conversation is always agreeable. Special events like Taste and Glide as well as the friendly volunteers make this a great place to stop and ski in the winter. There's a real effort on the... More
