Wonderful location to see the lake and it's enormity. Very picturesque location. Very happy to have jeeped here this weekend. Fall colors run late at the shoreline and we were very lucky. Water can be off later in the season....hikers plan accordingly. This isn't a place to be out of water and counting on the spigot.

We visited in August of 2016 for a 4-day, 3-night backpacking trip. This was a great trip for us, with scenic views from start to finish. Our route started at Twelvemile Beach and went west to Munising Falls. Campsites at Twelvemile, Sevenmile, and Chapel Beach were beautiful. If we return, we will probably schedule a longer trip and focus on... More

My wife and I have traveled to the UP several times. We like to go in the summer when it is hot and humid in Iowa because it is always significantly cooler in the UP with a good breeze off the big lake. Pictured rocks has many great trails along it's 42 or so miles. You can hike out to... More

I wish we had more time to visit this place. We went here after our pictured rocks cruise was canceled. Unfortunately, they didn't tell us it was canceled until mid afternoon, and we were a 2 hour drive from our hotel (and we had a baby with us). This all translates to us needing to leave no later than 6pm.... More

Loved it here! So many waterfall hikes! Kids loved them. Ages 7, 9, 11, 15, & 18. Plenty of picnic places and photo ops.

The lakeshore can be best scene from the lake ... a cruise gives you the open view of all the sites ... hitting the fall foliage is a bonus ... best photography is the sunset cruise

The guides were very informative about the landscape and rock formations. They also gave interesting details about Lake Superior and the surrounding area.

Something for everyone. Short hikes to falls, scenic sights and sunsets or hike the long trails. You will never be disappointed.

My wife and I took this cruise on Oct.19. What a wonderful cruise it was. Very nice boat that took us out. Great views of the lakeshore and all the tall cliff's and bluffs. As a bonus the leaves was at prime fall colors and that made it even prettier. Great narration along the way. Very well worth the ticket... More
