Falls were a short walk from the parking lot. The trails were snow packed and a little slippery, and the trail was closed to view from the top. The view was worth the walk. Note: the restrooms were closed for the season.

The hike to the falls is only 800 feet from the parking lot. We enjoyed the falls view and then took the stairs to the right and were able to walk directly behind the frozen falls.

A great set of falls that looked even better in the winter. A very short walk from the visitors center to the falls with 3 different viewing platforms.

JUST DO IT! AMAZING IN THE WINTER AND SNOW!! 800 feet from the parking lot. We had ice cleats, which made it A LOT easier to walk around and take photos.

It was mid-January when I took the 10-15 minute walk to the falls. Snowy and slippery in places but very peaceful and beautiful. Some benches along the way and glimpses of the river flowing along the path. At this time of year, the Falls are a frozen mass of ice that gradually builds up over the winter. At the top,... More

Short walk from the parking lot so....stop in the winter to see them frozen...so worth it. You meander along the railed path that is well packed down.

This was my first Michigan waterfall to view and experience. What a gorgeous waterfall. And with the sun looking down, what an amazing view and wonder! Bring your camera to capture the beauty of the fall...total peace and just absolutely beautiful.

We were on out way to Pictured Rocks, but they do not plow the road. Decided to check out some waterfalls while in the area. We were able to walk around the whole falls. Must see attraction.

This is a beautiful fall. After parking it is a short walk on a paved walkway to the fall, you walk along the river on the way up to the falls. There are a couple observation decks that you can climb to, the main one is at the base of the falls and there are a couple that give you... More

Great stop for anyone but works well for tour groups. The parking lot accommodates motor coaches and rest rooms are on site. Nice walk to Falls. If you are looking to take photos a little later in the day the sun isn't as harsh. My favorite time is in the evening...very peaceful!
