Pretty amazing to have that part of history in Muskegon. I always visit here just to go through the gift shop as I have been through the rest so many times being from Muskegon. A great place to visit.

We went to visit this sub during a break while at a marriage retreat. I was amazed by the information and history given in the museum. Then, we went on the sub I learned about the ship and 80 men who were willing to give...More

There's an awful lot to see here. I spent over 90 minutes in the museum building and probably only digested half of the exhibits. They have a wide variety of WWII artifacts on display -- and at least five videos running in different areas as...More

We loved going in the USS Silversides. We went mid-March and were the only people touring the submarine. They let us go in by ourselves and we could stay as long as we wanted. Awesome experience. Kind of creepy, kind of cool. Hard not to...More

The Silversides is one of the most decorated sub of WW2. The only drawback to visit it is, like any sub, you have to climb in and out of it. If you would like, you may be able to spend the night on it. well...More

A visit to the museum and the boat are a must do if you are in Muskegon. For a real treat schedule an overnight sleepover on the Silversides. The undersea war in the Pacific comes to life before your eyes. Great for all ages

We took our two kids to visit. The hubby had been there before, having spent the night with our son's cub scout pack. It's awesome to view a sub from all over the inside. Our kids were able to test out bunks and move equipment.

I am pretty clausterphobic and afraid of ladders so I was very nervous about being in a ship underwater and climbing through portholes, it was worth it! You don't need to be athletic to move throughout the ship easily. It is impressive to be in...More
