Visited the light houses (old and "new") on a very windy rainy day at the end of June. Exerting climb to top of lighthouse, interesting accommodation at top and spectacular views of Ile de Re. Interesting facts & figures about lighthouses in general and French...More

Worth the hundreds of stept to climb to the top of this lighthouse! Is a piece of history! In fact, the whole island worth to be visited again, no doubt about it!

I took the bus which drops you off about 10 minutes' walk away from the lighthouse. You will feel like you've been dropped off in the middle of nowhere but when you look further - there's the lighthouse. I bought the combo ticket which includes...More

Worth the 200+ step climb to the top to see the whole island and get the fresh air straight from the Atlantic. Some interesting Things to see in the museum downstairs as well.
