Loved this place!!
Sep 2019
This place was just awesome! We went into the gift shop first of all. Such wonderful gifts. Something for everyone. After we looked around we bought some pellets to feed the alpacas. When we went outside to feed them we were told just to yell " Come and get your food Boys!" and to shake the food container. Finally they came running up for food. They were so awesome!!!!! This was the best thing in Norway. Definitely fun for all ages.

This is not just a gift shop with lots and lots of yarn and items made from the softest yarn, sweaters, socks, hats mittens, et, it's a working farm. There are many Alpacas to pet and feed. The animals are people friendly so it is great for kids to pet and feed. The staff is was friendly and helpful.

The staff is wonderfully nice and very knowledgeable when it comes to anything they sell. The homemade gnomes are adorable and I don't even like garden gnomes.

The Alpaca's come up to the fence as soon as you park . Adorable, friendly so cute and soft . This activity is the best. Like little puppies. Very tame. Can't wait to go back.

We visited Rainbow at 3:45 in the afternoon, and although they were supposed to close at 4pm, they stayed open until we had a peaceful stroll through the gift shop and had fed the alpacas to our content.

When you turn up the driveway, it's important to use the right hand side lane and continue around the back of the house. You'll immediately see the alpacas as the farm keeps several in the pen next to the parking area. You won't have to worry if the animals will be able to be seen because they are intelligent animals and know that when a new car arrives, the tourists usually feed them. As you get out of your vehicle they will by crowding the fence to get a look at you as you look at them.

If you visit in the summer, chances are they will be shorn, but they are just as cute with short hair. They are meticulously clean animals and all defecate in a common latrine area as well as keep their hair groomed. They also are very gentle animals, don't be worried about them eating off your hands.

Have a few quarters for the feeder although if you don't have change, they can help you out inside the gift shop.

Once you've fed them or run out of change, head into the gift shop. Yes, you can buy yarn and articles made from alpaca hair and it's also non-allergic. Some of the yarn comes from Rainbow farm. The articles aren't cheap but they are well made and unique.

Highly recommended, and don't miss Norway spring on your way back toward town.

This is a fun place even if you don't use yarn! The animals up close and very personal ...you can feed them! There is a beautiful shop to check out and all of this is found behind the owners house. Just take the drive to the right of the house and you won't be disappointed you did!

Not just Gifts and Yarn ...Alpacas too!

I took a tour group into see the Alpacas and Mary Lynn did a wonderful job sharing information and her true love for these animals! This is a great stop for people of all ages as you can feed the Alpacas and even touch them if you'd like to. When we went to Iron Mt people told us they get their socks at this shop to keep their feet warm in the winter, so you might want to check them out! When finding the shop, if you're going West look for the Viking Ship :) then go to the next cross over to get to their driveway. You will take the drive that goes beside the house and around the back. Stop you will enjoy this beautiful shop and Alpaca Farm!
