The peak is pretty cool. Got to see it when the leaves were changing colors. It is pretty easy walk to get to the top.

It involves a lot of steps but the views are outstanding for such a relatively short hike. We combined this hike with an afternoon at Presque Isle. It was the perfect way to spend a day at the Porcupine Mountains.

Lots of stairs...but that's what this tower is!! Great view from the top, and no other way to get it but climb up!

Its a hike all right. I heard more than one say "Thank God" when they reached the top. Take your time. Rest as often as you need to. Well worth the effort.

I have acrophobia and have a hard time with open steps but this wasn't bad at all! The walk to the tower wasn't difficult and the view was definitely worth it.

About a half mile walk with a modest incline. The steeper portions are stepped boardwalk style and are very doable. At the top a tower with maybe thirty steps provides a majestic view. We visited when colors had just started and it was still fantastic.

The veiws from this amazing tower are just breathtaking. Its a poke with the 230 plus stairs but in the end it is completly worth it. I would love to see it during the fall with the leaves changing but I'm so glad we stopped and went and saw everything. It was just something else and will definitely go back... More

It was quite a hike and lots of steps, but worth the effort. Stunning view. Camped close by, a 15 minute drive, and then your close... My it is beautiful.

When at the top of Summit Peak be sure to check out the Apostle Islands off of the Wisconsin Coast about 30 miles away in Lake Superior.

This is a short hike with some steps to a small viewing platform. It is good for people that can't do long hikes (like us with small children) but want to take a hike in the Porkies. The view is a lot of trees, with Lake Superior in the distance. Nothing spectactular in the summer, but seems it would be... More
