We were here four years ago and we had to return to see this absolutely gorgeous place. It has not changed much except they have installed some new boardwalks out to the beach area. A definite must visit if you are in the area.

While we were at the Shipwreck Museum we stopped in at the Whitefish Point Bird Observatory. They had some nice displays and a small gift shop. There was a path along the lake shore you could follow too.

Whitefish Point itself as no charge to enter. The museum on the grounds and to go into the lighthouse both have a charge but very minimal. I think the museum is $10 or less per adult. And that's in if you choose to do so.
