Very cool vibe in this old theater. Sound quality was very good. Security was friendly and efficient on entry. Restrooms are small and make for long lines. Staff was friendly, drinks were a bit inconsistent.

I came here for a performance of Magic Men Live! on a Saturday evening. Although the performance wasn't near the level of Thunder From Down Under (which I saw at the Soundboard in MotorCity Casino & Hotel) in terms of execution, choreography, music choice/editing, performance,...More

Great looking venue in downtown Royal Oak near excellent bars ,shopping and restaurants. Full bar on each level and good seating . We saw The Mavericks there and the overall volume was way too loud and the kick drum over powered everything . Some songs...More

We saw Jesse Cook and his international band and were pleasantly surprised at the comfortable setting, easy parking, cash bar & accessible restrooms. We're keeping our eyes open to go again when they have another group we'd like to see.

Where do I begin, when we finally got into the theater and escorted to our seats, we had to sit there for an hour before the show started. It was extremely hot in the building, so hot that we got sick from the heat. When...More

We went to see a comedian last weekend at the Royal Oak Music Theater. The theater looks nice enough, however the seating was pretty horrible. We sat in the first row of the balcony. The "safety bar" in front of us was right in the...More

I've attended a music show and a movie at this venue, and I'm just not sold on it. The seating is sort of odd (felt like I was a long ways away from the artist), and the acoustics are not that great. Seems like it...More

We bought tickets for the Dave Rawlings Machine concert and were looking forward to a great show by one of the best acts in Americana music. I had attended a concert here years ago before it was converted into a "club" style venue and was...More

Sold out does not mean crowded. We could only get standing but that was better than sitting farther back. Bar was fast. Sound was great. Valet parking is $7. Expired meter is $10. Ask me how I know.

I would call the venue for the specific event and how the promoter booked the ROMT seating.
