A privately owned geologic formation that costs to climb to by stairs?? Not for this family. I thought this kind of tourist trap went out with love beads.

Found a brochure on this little gem at our hotel. Easy to get to after crossing the bridge. 170 stairs to the top for $1. There is a very kitschy gift shop like the kinds on the roadside from the 1970s compete with rabbit's feet...More

This was definitely a walk (or climb) down memory lane for me. We walked this in the early 1970's (forgot my sticker)...but that is OK...got two this time. The views are beautiful. A definitely stop to see the incredible natural beauty. Not to mention Paul...More

A nice little place to get out and stretch your legs. The gift store has a lot items to view. The climb to the top of the rock will get the blood going.

It's only $1.00 to go to the cliff and the views were amazing. Be warned there are a lot of stairs and it's a pretty steep climb

I haven't climbed this thing since I was fourteen, and I have no idea why I suddenly decided I needed to again 26 years later. It was a rough hike to the top! Whereas I used to run to the top with no problem, I...More

This is a quintessential when you visit the UP. The gift shop is huge and offers a wide variety of chotckies. The bathrooms are clean and well-stocked. For only $1 you can visit Paul Bunyan and Babe the Blue OX and make your way to...More

This place is quirky with its huge gift shop and Paul Bunyan and Babe the blue Ox but for a $1 to climb it's worth the view at the top. The staff were very friendly as well.

We went on a cloudy day mid morning. The view was nice. It had been raining prior, but did not notice any problem with wet stairs. I was wearing summer sandals, and the stairs ans railing were fine. I had not problem with the stairs...More

No there is not. However in the town of Saint Ignace you will probably find somewhere along the water a place to stop and have a picnic. very small town

You can see the top of the bridge towers, not the entire bridge.

Though I don't know for sure, I would say no only because you have to walk through the gift shop to access Castle Rock itself. I'd give them a call to be sure #906-643-8268.
