Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The beaches and the park trails are nice for a summer time play time. The pay parking lot part sucks. The Robbins Parking enforcement people circle around the parking lot like vultures. There are other regional parks with free parking.

Thetis Lake is extremely clean with a lovely smooth sand beach. The water is on the cool side which is refreshing once you take the plunge. Went on a week day morning, which was mostly families with kids (no teens...yet). The city seems to have succeeded in their efforts to cut out the loud music, drinking & partying of large teen groups.

Large change room and washroom facilities and reasonable parking. Lots of lovely trails to walk & hike.

Thetis is a lovely park, not far from downtown Victoria, yet out in nature. The walking trails are delightful and the children love the water activities. It's a great place for a day out, with a picnic lunch. Not to be missed.

We went for a walk and ended up hiking in the woods. When we realized how close we were to the park we decided to investigate. We ended up hiking around the lower lake. We enjoyed it and felt like we were out in the forest miles from town.

i love hiking this trail... the difficulty level is perfect. it typically takes about 1.25 hrs to hike around the main trail if you park at the phelps road entrance.
the views are amazing and theres some great spots for swimming in the summer. definitely a good place to paddle board or kayak too.
i highly recommend this trail year round for everyone to enjoy.

A must see if you are wanting to spend a day on a beach and swim in a clean lake.
The lake is surrounded by trees which enhances the view. If you want to go for a walk through the forest there is a well groomed trail that goes around the lake. Half of the trail provides view points of the lake while the other half is a shaded walk through the forest.
Great way to spend half the day relaxing if you are in Victoria for three or more days.

We stopped in here for a beach break with our six year old. This is a perfect lake for rafting or paddle boarding. It's a sandy beach which is a bonus. The only negative is that there's very little shade.

The views were amazing! You definitely can not have mobility issues as there is some climbs and terrain that you had to pay attention to where you were walking. It was 5.40 km round trip but incredible every step of the way.

This location offers quiet space for contemplation, hiking trails for exercise, swimming, beach lounging, dog walking access. It is maintained by the CRD. Some places look wild, the beach area reminds me of places I went to with family as a kid. There is a large bathroom/change area and picnic tables near the beach (lately there have been signs posted near the water regarding toxic algae). A large parking lot is nearby (no fee from October to end of April). It is just a short windy road from Highway 1A (right on the corner of the Six Mile Inn), so I grabbed a lunch from the food strip and had a peaceful nosh.

This park has SO MUCH to offer. There is great lunch spots, easy parking ($2 parking for the day) and free admittance to the park. There is a beach for families to enjoy and also great fishing spots. Lot so hikes as well.
