Best Cheeseburger

Nelsons has the best cheeseburger around. Save room for the homemade pies too - I had coconut cream, Yummy!

Good place for a burger and fries. Quite a few other items on the menu, which are usually good. The place is reasonably large, and sometimes service isn't particularly fast. That is usually not a real problem. Friendly place, and it does have atmosphere.

The only thing not typical is the food. It's all very good and it's fun to try different things each time that you visit. This time was a regular BLT and a grilled cheese sandwich smothered in chili. Both pretty simple but easy to mess up but these were perfect. It's a typical bar because it suddenly got crowded when... More

Great (and cool) little place with one of the best patty melts I've ever had. Didn't have the spicy mac & cheese bites but they smelled soooo good, and the corned beef was delicious with mustard and pickle.

Great burger and onion ring bar food with added bonus of home baked pie. Don't miss the coconut cream! Our family has gone to Nelson's for years, and we are now in the third generation who swear by Carrie's Swiss olive burgers. Just a local gem.

Women, don't let your man go here unless you want him seduced by the waitress. She especially likes married men.

Saying that a place has the best burgers in the area will get you in trouble. So, I'll just say, you can get excellent burgers here. They are cooked on a grill that probably has a patina of burgers from a period of over decades. Fries are good, as are clam strips. They also have surprisingly good daily specials, too.
