I love lighthouses, found this fascinating. Getting up to the top could be a problem for some, narrow stairs, steep angle.

Drove up on a weekend trip for a relaxing activity. We didn't go in the lighthouse, but it was in a beautiful, wooded area on the beach. It was easy to find and had a lovely view.

A must see if you’re in Traverse City. It’s a beautiful drive up to the tip of the Peninsula. You can tour this little lighthouse and learn its history. There is a small gift shop inside with a variety of items for souvenirs.

We had a nice drive out to the lighthouse. Arrived after closing but the view still was very nice. Have been there in the summer and it is a nice place to take a break.

A beautiful natural area. A well preserved site on the tip of Old Mission Peninsula. An easy drive from Traverse City through vineyards, apple and cherry orchards with picturesque, spectacular views.

I’d recommend anyone visiting traverse City to drive out on the peninsula and enjoy bye view from the lighthouse. It’s a trip back in time and volunteers have many wonderful stories to tell. There are photographs and news articles from the past and current times....More

Average as far as lighthouses go (not as tall as some, not as ornate), but definitely worth a look-see. Two unique points are that it is on/very near the 45th parallel, and there is also a historic settlers log cabin nicely restored on the grounds...More

We were open 10 to 5pm- I have the gift shop records to prove it. ? Maybe they have this lighthouse confused with Grand Traverse Lighthouse. ?? MP Light Manager
