- mlbtravelsNoosa, Australia2,767 contributionsSo interesting. This was such a delightful and fascinating find. A small entry fee to the museum which boasts gemstones, crystals and fossils. We spent about 45 minutes looking around but you could easily spend hours if you really studied the collection. There are some amazing fossils millions of years old. There is an adjoining shop. Suitable for all ages. Just lots of fun and a real eye opener. Highly recommended.Visited May 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 3 May 2023
- Andrew C2 contributionsNot badInteresting enough place to visit for an hour. There isn’t anything very interactive for the kids and teens, but it’s quite atmospheric as it’s dark and all the cases are lit up and there’s a rainforest background sound affect. The cases with the stones are beautiful enough to look out for awhile, but I wonder if there should be a family ticket as a cost of £7 adults £5 kids adds up for a family of six, when I would say the average walk around time would be half an hour to an hour, plus a bit longer in the gift shopVisited August 2023Travelled with familyWritten 23 August 2023
- woodyquaife7 contributionsWell worth a visitI don't often write reviews, but this time I had to do one to say a big well-done to this museum. Good value for money, very informative and well set out. All the exhibits are well displayed and well cared for. A visit worth doing.Visited September 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 7 October 2023
- KenPBATHBath, United Kingdom1,000 contributionsWorth the visit.Called in here as part of a tour having been informed it was the largest collection in Europe. Did not disappoint and although there were stairs to climb it covered a large area of displays from all over the World. Had seen small collections in museums in many places had not seen anything like this. Set in a cave atmosphere added to the presentation. Well worth a visit if in the area.Visited October 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 2 November 2023
- Colin JWirral, United Kingdom401 contributionsFascinating, if not a little disappointingThis museum is set in what used to be an old church, so the venue is unusual in itself. The collection of gems and fossils is certainly extensive, but for me the place lacked any interaction or connection with its audience. As you enter the building it seems dark and "cave like" so I got quite excited to find out what would await us; disappointingly, the exhibits were just presented in glass cases with names underneath each item. Even a brief video presentation of how the crystals and gems were formed, or how the fossils were dated etc would make this far more interestingVisited February 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 18 February 2024

We went as part of a Lochs and Glens tour. We didn't spend too much time there but it was interesting and well laid out. The staff there are very friendly.

Staff were super friendly and helpful and approachable as I am new to crystals and I felt so comfortable. I would like to be able to shop without the tour every time as they have a great selection

Very expensive for what it is! Great insight into crystals, fossils and gemstones, but got around it in about 10-15 minutes, definitely not worth the £37 it cost us!

A really enjoyable and informative experience. We were amazed to see so many fabulous crystals rocks and gems and learning more about them all. We thoroughly enjoyed the visit and found some great mementos in the gift shop. Now in possession of millions of year old fossils! The staff were all friendly too 😊
