Great place to do any outdoor activities: Hiking, biking, snow shoeing, cross country skiing, canoeing, paddle boarding. Fall colors are beautiful. Oh and if you like to camp - super sites and Yurts for rent as well.

This is a lovely state park! For many years, it was a private retreat that was owned by the Star Tribune paper. In 1991 it was given to the Nature Conservancy and then to MN for a state park. The original lodge is open and has a lot of history of the property. I hiked in the Annie Battle and... More

It is 5 miles around the lake: the trail follows the shoreline an d meanders through the woods and prairie. We saw deer and many birds and blooming wild flowers. Many campers were enjoying the park as well as families enjoying... More

I would recommend this state park for families. Beautiful choice of lakes to swim-the designated kids beach is small, roped in shallow swimming that is perfect for them but the adults preferred the beach at Glendalough Lodge for deeper water and a bigger beach, accessible from the camp ground by canoe, kayak, drive or short hike. The cart in camping... More

This is a nice state park, with some great bike trails. Never camped here before, but would be willing to try it out. More grassland than forest, but nice trees too, nice lake with a beach.
