Let me start by saying if I just had a chair close to the window of the bird feeders, I would probably back my lunch and stay there all day! This is probably my 4th or 5th time here. We travel from GB mostly to go to MOA but this place is always a stop I try and make. I... More

We attended a talk on the monarch butterfly and photographing butterflies and really enjoyed it. The presenter was well informed and interesting. The variety of plant life was very nice and gave us lots of things to photograph. We walked down one short trail and ended up at a pond full of frogs which was very interesting. Would love to... Had a great 14 mile trail ride. It's pretty flat and not super technical but not boring either where we road. No bathrooms in site though :)

We've been here just once before...in the fall. We visited on a day when the information center was closed and never got an opportunity to check it out. Luckily on this stop...it was open. It is fairly large with several rooms featuring different wildlife facts...activity stations and small exhibits. There is a staffed service desk where you can talk to... More

We went there on a Sunday morning for a run and literally had the place to ourselves. Couldn't believe there weren't more hikers and runners there. The nature center was closed (which means no public restrooms...take note), but we could still park and walk to the trailhead. Great pounded dirt/gravel paths, very wide, flat, and fast for running. It had... More

We enjoyed this place as a day visit! We have a toddler and it was challenging to keep her at bay, however there were accommodations for coloring and small fun things to do. We went in winter time and noticed they have backpacks to check out filled with items for trail activities. Really a neat place :)

We accessed the Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge from Cliff Fehn park. It was an easy hike, and we were rewarded by seeing a great egret, great heron, bald eagle, killdeer, and many more birds. Lovely area to explore!

I recommend for family fun, nature enthusiasts and birders. This is the best kept secret in the Metro area! Admission is free to the Headquarters visitor center, the overlook with spotting scopes and the hiking paths. If you are in town for an event especially with children, check it out for family fun April-October... Location: right off the American Blvd... More

I have been here Twice. Great location. I liked that it was kept up. I wish there were park benches or stumps to sit on; us old guys need a break on long walks.

Fyi, upon my arrival on April3rd, saw a message on their door, that the Visitor Center would be closed for few more weeks, but the park is still open for the public. Perhaps I just went there in just a bad timing, this park may be great later Spring and onwards, but would be a place I recommend a tourist... More
