We live in Evesham and fancied a night away over the Easter break but had left it to the last minute. Having visited The Vale a number of times in the past for business lunches etc...I recalled they had some accommodation and managed to secure Lodge 8 for the night and boy we weren't disappointed!
Check in was from 3pm and the lodge was bright, clean and airy with fantastic lake views. Lodge 8 featured a bath and separate shower which is always nice.
We booked dinner at the on-site restaurant La Vista (Italian style food) and again was not disappointed - the staff were friendly and attentive and our meals delicious (very generous portion sizes).
There is plenty of on-site parking.

Met family here for a small birthday gathering. Between us we had the detached cabin and one of the smaller semi detached cabins around the lake. Both were amazing. Clean and tidy. If you want extra space (and a double spa bath) then I’d highly recommend the detached cabin.
Food was really good. Everything you could want for breakfast and the lunch menu also had a great choice. The fire wood pizzas were wow.
All staff were fantastic and so accommodating. Everyone went above and beyond and nothing was too much.
We will definitely be coming back here again.

We went for a midweek break for my birthday. Arriving 2nd of August..the cabin was beautiful with beautiful views across the pond . (Lodge 8)
But we had a problem after driving 5 and half hours we was hungry but nowhere to buy food on the premises.
We did manage to get a delivery from an Indian takeaway ( not sure of the name as my daughter ordered it and she wasn't with us ).
The room was immaculate. Couldn't fault it .
But the fact nothing was available let it down a little .
Then Wednesday morning at 6.45 ( my birthday) we was rudely awakened by very loud noises . It actually sounded like they was going to come through the walls . So my relaxing birthday morning was not so relaxing ..( I did video it but unable to upload on here).
The following morning It was 5.30am across the pond so not as loud but still disturbing.
My husband works for a very well known holiday park and does lots of construction etc but until 9am they are not allowed to make noise ..cutting grass etc and Sundays no machines are allowed to be used ..they have respect for the customers and residents.
The breakfast was lovely most mornings, and one lady ( sorry didn't get her name ) but she always had a smile and made us feel welcome ( she also done reception)...often putting music on low to help the atmosphere. The two mornings she wasn't on wasn't the same ..one morning tables not set out and no smile we felt like we was a problem .( younger girl was sorting out breakfast)
The last morning was a young lad that more or less ignores us ..we was first into breakfast. He asked us what breakfast we wanted.. as of that was a problem to never asked if we wanted a drink ..unlike the lovely lady that always asked when we arrived into the breakfast room ..he went to another table was very talkative asked them what drinks they would like etc.. so I asked if it was possible we had a drink to please ( he seemed put back by this )
A few things could do with changing to be honest ..
Show more respect to your customers ( we pay your wages )
And for those staying Monday to Friday..it would be nice to be able to eat in a bar/ restaurant in the evenings. Not just weekends ..

An overnight stay here is as comfortable, peaceful and beautiful as the photographs on their website infers. Sitting on the balcony with a glass of prosecco in the evening, looking at the tranquil lakeside view is highly recommended - the only sounds to be heard are from the water fountain and the birds! The Spike bar was great for a light lunch, the restaurant food was delicious, and the breakfast was excellent, with local produce where possible. Staff were extremely helpful at all times. Although we don't live very far away, we will definitely be back for another 'overnighter' very soon!

Hi Pauline,
Ahh, sitting on the balcony coupled with a glass of Prosecco is the perfect addition to our lovely cabins.
We're so happy that you managed to try out not only our accommodation, but the restaurants too.
Thank you for your visit and for following up with an honest review.
We hope to see you around the clubhouse again soon!

We had a great 5 night stay at The Vale which was excellent in every way.
The cabin had a great view over the water giving a tranquil feeling of being in nature with fish and ducks swimming close by. The meals, especially the breakfasts were delicious. The accommodation was comfy and spacious and cool during the heatwave being experienced at the time

We booked an overnight stay in the detached lodge. The lodge is just like a hotel room but with much more space. We had a balcony overlooking the lake which was beautiful in the morning sun watching the heron and the bathroom had a spa bath as well as a shower. There is also a mini fridge in the room which is handy. The only thing I'd say about the room is perhaps an upgrade of the TV to a smart TV wood be good as there is WiFi available to use.
We didn't eat in the restaurant in the evening but we had breakfast as that was included in the room price. We were disappointed unfortunately. We had to order the night before and ordered a full English and pancakes. The bar was set out with tea, coffee and juice to help ourselves along with cereal, yoghurt and fruit while we waited for our cooked breakfasts. The full English was brought out but after another 5-10 minutes there was no sign of my pancakes so I had to ask. I was told she'd go and fetch them, which she did but I couldn't eat some of them because they were absolutely rock hard! I think they'd been warmed up in the microwave but they were inedible. The bacon on the full English was really fatty too and I've never seen a smaller portion of beans!
We had a lovely stay which was really peaceful and just what we wanted but breakfast let it down, hence the 4 star review. I think we'd be happier if breakfast was an option and not automatically included in the cost.
Beautiful place and a hidden gem for us not far from home.

One of our all time favourite places to stay for a short break! All the staff go out of their way to ensure you have a fabulous stay with them. Special mentions to the reception team and the breakfast staff, who made our stay extra special and nothing was too much trouble for them. Such a peaceful and relaxing place, you can get to enjoy the lake and wildlife with hardly a noise from the outside world. The quality of the cabins and fittings are superb and the bed is very, very comfortable. The addition of a mini fridge certainly helps keep drinks cool and the air con is a very useful addition. We've always found the cabins to be warm ready for us each visit. If I had the time to visit once a month I would!

we had our wedding reception at The Vale Golf Club, Luke, Dan & the team were amazing from start to finish.
So attentive and nothing was too much trouble.
They literally sorted every last detail which made our day so chilled and relaxed we were able to enjoy the company of family and friends
knowing everything was in hand.
The food was amazing both the sit down meal and the evening buffet (hand made pizzas went down really well).
We stayed in the detached cabin which was amazing with lovely views over the lake, followed by breakfast where the team were so helpful and everything was cooked fresh to order.
We want to thank everyone at the Vale for a truly magical day we had to rearrange several times due to Covid and it was honestly worth waiting for.

I stayed in the lodges with my daughter overlooking the lovely lake and while it was a cold and blustery night and following morning, the lodges we lovely and warm and cosy, lovely view over the little lake with some beautiful water birds. It was clean, spacious for the price, the shower was lovely and a really excellent breakfast was had to all of the numerous people involved, I recommend the poached eggs and salmon. A very surprising and lovely stay.

Wow!! Where do I begin!
We had our wedding at the Vale and we are so glad that we did!! ALL staff were incredible from the get go.
Nothing was too much to ask, the food was delicious and everything ran so smoothly.
The Vale made the ‘planning a wedding’ process effortless and Cara in particular took every little stress away from me as a Bride.
Every email was responded to so quickly and they catered to absolutely everything we requested.
Words don’t really exist to explain how grateful we are to all at the vale.
Whatever you are thinking about visiting the vale for, do it. I promise you won’t be disappointed.
We can’t wait to be back for many more visits!

Is there nearby pubs/bars or resturants within walking distance?
Written 8 May 2019
There are meals at the golf club which are more home cooked rather than restaurant class, but we had no complaints. There was plenty to eat on our plate. If you want a pub, there is the Boot which is in the town of Flyford Flavell. It is not in walking distance, but well worth a visit.
